Hey, folks. Loveyameanit, but I got some nitpicks:
In “Athlete’s Foot Slut Gun Nuts” you suggested that Iran does not utilize US-manufactured arms. That’s demonstratively false. The Iranian Air Force is currently the only military organization that stil utilizes the F-14 jet fighter.
As a matter of fact, the US was just forced to halt sales of surplus F-14 parts to Iran when the press got wind of the deal. So now various members of Congress are running around, trying to pass laws to prevent such from happening in the future and the Bushies will have to sell the parts to the Iranians via the Contras (or something like that).

I’ve little doubt that the Iranians utilize other US-manufactured arms. The world arms trade is a thriving market and the US arms industry is a major player. There are LOTS of examples of US arms commonly getting into the hands of folks you wouldn’t think should be allowed to have such, like the Sudanese, for instance.
Did you know the US is one of the major suppliers of arms for the Iraqi insurgents? I won’t bother to check on this, but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that that the US arms industry is the biggest supplier of arms to the insurgents (just because it’s an AK doesn’t mean it didn’t pass through American hands on the way there).
This is allowed because it’s good for the US arms manufacturers and it helps them compete with other major suppliers, such as the Russians and the Chinese. Do you really think the CEO of a arms manufacturer loses sleep thinking about the fact that his guns are being used to shoot at 18 y/o US Marines? Not his problem, the government should do something about it.
Keep up the goodness, you rabblerousers.
